Applications for Green Corps’s 2016-2017 program are now being accepted, and the deadline for the fall round of submissions, October 11, is quickly approaching, says Amanda Becker, Green Corps’s recruitment director, in a recent email.
According to Becker, Green Corps offers a full-year paid training program for college graduates, one that combines intensive class-room training by leaders in the environmental movement with field placement in organizations like The Sierra Club and Food & Water Watch. Green Corps’s alumni, says Becker, include people like Phil Radford, Executive Director of Greenpeace USA, and Sarah Hodgdon, National Program Director at The Sierra Club.
“Green Corps is looking for college graduates who are ready to take on the biggest environmental challenges of our day,” writes Becker. “We need more organizers – people who understand the power of public support and know how to mobilize it.”
“If this sounds like something you are interested in, apply today,” Becker’s email concludes. Here is the link to the application form: http://www.greencorps.org/apply.html?utm_source=TWO%20Emails&utm_medium=TWO%20Emails&utm_campaign=RY16%20TWO%20Emails
